Hey people. Plastic is being widely today. Is it a gift or a curse for mankind?

Can you tell you are a bane or a boon to persons surrounding you?

Its the way we use a thing that makes it a boon or a bane.

Like plastics are useful as toys,carrying things,water pipes but they do cause damage to the ozone layer when prepared in the factories.The fumes left by them makes the ozone hole grow bigger which causes global warming.

BUT,

They make kids smile as Toys.You have water through Pipes.Provide you raincoat and umbrellas while raining and for the summer.Your tooth brush is plastic isin't it? your soap box is plastic and so is your lunch box.And what about the mops and the vessel cleaners and the taps and the...

So ITS YOU who DECIDES whether you make it a boon or a bane.

Plastic is certainly a bane .Unfortunately we are used to it and the comforts provided by it to a very large extend..But there are alternatives for every thing made of plastic we use(yes ...there are)

Try recycling and reusing plastic, seggregate waste and finally avoid buying unnecessary plastic objects(which btw are quite colourful and attractive)

Alternatives include-cloth

                             paper

                             clay(pottery,ceramics)

                             bamboo

                             coconut shell( spoons,forks etc can be made)

                             tender branches of neem(to clean teeth)

                             coconut leaves vein(as tongue cleaner)

.etc

PLASTIC IS BANE IF USE IT CARELESSLY AND ESSEVELY. BUT IT IS A BOON WHEN V USE IT CAREFULLY .  IT IS A NO BIODEGARADEBLE MATERIAL AND IN INDIA V R NOT RECYCLING IT PROPRLY. V SHOULD AVOID AS MUCH AS V CAN THE USE OF PASTIC BAGS

Its a boon for mankind and bane for the environment....overall its still a boon...Plastic is a by-product of crude oil and it is extensively used in every modern equipment,medicine, and anything you can think off..

People who are for clay and coconut shell must stop using their laptops and cellphones....modern life with out plastic and crude oil is impossible to imagine.More than the pollution aspect we should be worried about crude oil drying up. May be science will coem with a new energey source, but it will be much more difficult to find a ways to produce these oil by products.So what i will suggest is minimise use of crude oil, rest will follow by itself and save this essential rescource for our future generations.

At present as it is made out of an oil by-product and isn't bio-degradeable it is a curse to the environment.I heard that they had devolped plastic out of potatoes that at least is bio-degradeable.If you really need to ask look at any dump and watch the plastic bags that last for years without dissolving.

plastics have many uses but it has only one problem that it pollutes the environment.This problem can be solved by recycling.Since it has many uses i prefer it as a boon.
