Is playing the ukelele the same as playing the guitar?

I play guitar but can not yet afford an acoustic, i was thinking as something funny 2 carry arnd i wud get a ukelele but i am not sure if i would be able to play it, are all the chords etc the same as guitar chords? thanks

Well it the same as the shape and strings. But the sound and the chords are different. Also the way you strum a ukulele. Its not the same.

no, for a start u only have 4 strings and i believe its a diffrrent tuning although im not sure about that umm how much are you looking to spend??? and i might be able to help you e-mail me at [e-mail]
