  1. its an OKAY workout. if you want a REAL workout, go to a wrestling practice for an hour. now THATS a workout. i do both wrestling and volleyball, and wrestling is 10 times the workout that volleyball is.

  2. yeah... you are running all over the court.. diving.. working you arms, legs, and core(stomach).... and when you get a good rally going you can really feel the workout!!......that is what i call a good workout!

    i love playing volleyball!!

    <3<3<3<3

  3. It great for your arms.

  4. yess. it works out everything from your biceps/triceps to your calf muscles and even your abs.

do this too see how much calories ud burn

  7. Yeah! It's not as good a workout as football, or soccer, but if you're into it you end up sweating like a monkey! You get sore if you play too much though. It's alot of fun and a great workout! Have fun.

  8. Yea, Volleyball is good for many different muscles. If you play front row by the net, you are working your hamstrings, glutes, quads, and calves by having to jump to block or hit. When in the back row, you have to stay low to dig up all the hits, so you are still working those same muscles.

  9. volleyball is definately a good work out, a bit sore on your joints i guess after a lot of year playing but generally a great workout!

Also if you're playing beach in Summer thats even better, because the sand is like a resistance which means your leg muscles in particular have to work harder

  10. of course, anything that keeps you moving

  11. if your serious about it it is because your coach will have you running and training all year long

  12. yep! it sure is .

i just got out of a 2 day volleyball tournament this weekend,

and boy am i ever sore!

it just depends on how much you play.

and how much you move around.

like, i'm setter for my team, and the ONLY setter,

so i'm out there playing every game and i have

no choice but to move for the ball because my whole

team is relying on me to get the ball.

if your just standing around and barely

going for any of the balls, thats not a workout .

it also depends on how well the game is going,

like if your actually rallying or not.

if your rallying, then everyone is moving around,

    and thats a work out.

  13. Yes most times it is!

  14. of course anything that keeps you moving is good for you!

  15. Yes!, you need to have very strong legs to jump high and move fast on your feet.

  16. Not usually.

  17. Volleyball is definitely a good workout! Not only does it work your arms and legs, but it is also a good cardiovascular workout! It keeps you moving fast to get to the ball, but you don't realize how much calories and fat you are burning, while having fun at the same time! Even if you are not good at playing volleyball, it is a wonderful exercise that anyone can do. I hope you like playing volleyball!

  18. Playing volleball helps you get a LOT more muscular. During volleball, you use your legs and arms when you squat to jump up and hit the ball. It is also good for your arms because you need a lot of muscle in your arms to hit the ball. So my answer is YES. Playing volleball helps you a LOT.

Hope i gave you what you were looking for!

  19. it depends if its serious just tapping back fourth is not a work out.I'm on a team and if we don't run  to the ball and get low we run 2 laps around the gym so we are getting some work from the day and so we get in the right form.if u do it religiously with other work outs yes
