like is it too late to play if you don't have any experience? Will it probably be difficult to make try-outs? I am thinking about playing it my first time. My junior year in high school.

  1. its a bit late but hey anything can happen.  you should practice a lot before tryouts [in my school its kinda rare for a junior to make the cut becausse the varsity team is just about set]  just believe in yourself and try your best.  who knows you might even realize that you have a knack for this sport and be the star player :)

  2. Absolutely not, it's never too late to try something that you want to do.  It maybe a little hard at first but as long as you work really hard at it and show the coaches that you're dedicated then you'll make it. Just be physically and mentally prepared.

Also if you know someone that has already been on the/a volleyball team ask them for tips on what you need to do in order to make it.

  3. Heck No, I Started at 14 and played in every tourney you can imagine...I also played in college and all thru HS and College won the MVP of my team and of most tourneys. It's never too late..you need to play as much as possible, go to clinics, play on club teams and do VB workouts if you really want to excel at the sport. Try outs will be challanging but don't be discouraged....just work hard and you'll make it next season.

    Good Luck

  4. It will be HARD if you don't condition or practice. Also, find out what you're good at and read up on different positions and ways to hit the ball (there are a myriad).

  5. Well, a junior joining a volleyball team is considered a little to late, but if you're tall and can jump pretty high, you have a really good chance. It really depends on how well the volleyball team is and who else is trying out. Just make sure you try your best and maybe the coach will see that.

  6. its never too late. if you try your best and practice extra, you will improve greatly. just try to start as soon as possible and maybe one-on-one training would be good.

  7. well if you practice alot, it might not be. but it is ALOT OF CONDITIONING!!!! practce...alot!

  8. It depends how large your HS is and how many others will try out.  It is probably too late to try and make a professional career out of it, but if you are relatively athletic and fit it is probably not to late for HS or even college level volleyball.  Unless your HS team has been state champ for years and their are lots of really good people trying to make the team.

  9. If your tall and can really smack the ball, try it you might be a star!
