  1. No, pneumonia is just an infection of the lungs. It can be serious in children and elderly people.  An autoimmune disease is, basically, your body attacking itself.

  3. Pneumonia - inflammation of the lung, can be caused by bacteria, parasites, fungi, or a virus. Physical or chemical injury can also be a causative factor and sometimes the cause is unknown. However an autoimmune cause has not been found.
