Is poetry.com a scam? Are they legit?

If I submitted a poem to poetry.com, would it be protected from copyright? Are there any other online ways of getting copyright protection?

It is  the world's largest poetic society. So they have great reputation and are legitimate. it would certainly be protected.

However, I think there is another method to protect copyright your  poem :
