  1. I did ballet for years but quit when my teacher said it was time for me to go en pointe. That was three years ago and sometimes I regret it but since I wasn't planning to go into a career in dance I decided it wasn't worth it to s***w up my feet for good. Just know what your getting into. Make sure you are ready and be perapred for a lot of pain at first but my friends who still take dance tell me you sort of get used to it after while but you still are dancing on the tips of your toes on wood or plaster.

  2. Yes, pointe is hard. But its just like every other type of dance.. once you have been doing it long enough it gets easier. For me, it is fun after the pain stops. I quit feeling a lot of pain after the first month at it.. and now I love learning to do normal ballet moves on my toes. Only bad thing about pointe is that the shoes ruin pedicures. Dont waste your money getting one then go to pointe class :)

  3. It can be very hard. It gets easier though with years of training. But even then....its still difficult.

It takes a lot of ankle strength. It takes dedication. It takes pain to be beautiful sometimes...

  4. Once you get the proper training, it's not too hard. At first, yes.

It's difficult to try and pick up all the techniques and proper ways

for doing things... I think it get's A LOT easier as time goes on ♥

  5. I think that it is extremely difficult without the proper training (pre-pointe), the proper technique, or practice. But with those things, it's not so bad anymore.

  6. It is hard.

By the way, by pointe dance, are you talking about ballet on pointe shoes?

Because if you are, yes, it's hard.

You can't just put on a pair of pointe shoes with no experience whatsoever.

    Pointe shoes do hurt.

You might need to buy some gel stuff (make sure it's actually meant for pointe shoes) which you can put on your toes to help with the pain.

You could also put a band of tape around your toes for an extra protective layer of "skin".

You have to be careful because if you wear them for too long your toes will bleed, but that is normal.

    Hope I helped,

  7. YES. Pointe is extremely difficult, and takes years to get the hang of it.

  8. Yes, they hurt, and you may get blisters from them. But if you're determined to work at it and progress, it will make it easier for you. Set a goal, and just go for it! Dancing is all about expressing yourself, whether it's through hip-hop, jazz, tap, modern, or Pointe. Work hard at it, and never give up! Good Luck!

  9. yes piont dancing is hard  u shud normally have 2 years of ballet class to get ur feet tough enough to do pointe u shoud not be unexperienced or u will not be prepared enough for the pain

  10. pointe dancing is hard. it takes lots of strength, balance, poise and grace. its a dancers job to make things look easy but really, its not!

balancing on your toes isnt fun and games its rather serious!

in my opinion its not too painful but yes it hurts!

with the right shoes, padding and even tights, pointe dancing can be really fun!
