Well, it's half-real and half-unreal. Let me clarify it a bit.

Pokemon Shiny Gold is indeed real, but it is not an official Pokemon game from Nintendo like Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. Pokemon Shiny Gold is actually a free Pokemon remake of Pokemon Gold by Zel. It includes all the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn Pokemon and has a lot of twists that differ from the original Gold.

No its just a pokemon firered hack made by Zel. Its only real if you are playing it on the ROM. You have to download VBA(virtual boy advance)

Basically its just the remake of Gold.

well its a rumor..personally i believe its true. ummm go to youtube and search gold and silver versions remake and it'll show you the game boxes and game pics.
