Is pokemon yellow like blue/red?

Question

I think my blue is broke, but I can get a yellow...I know you get pikachu and at one point can get all the 3 starter Pokemon, but is the story mode just like blue and red?

there just the same except on yellow u can get all three startes and on reb/blue u can only choose one

Yep except their are pokemon you can catch in yellow but can't catch in blue/red without cheating or trading and the same with blue/red and the way to pokemon league looks alot different. Some of the story has changed plus there are 2 or 3 snorlax's blocking the roads so you have more of a chance to catch it.

There all basically the exact same though Red and Yellow are slightly worse I don't really know why... just are.

yeah pretty much. occasionally u will fight jesse and james and the rival has eevee. (hint:if u lose the opening battle later in the game he will evolve his eevee to vaporeon where as if u win he won't and evolve it into the form better against electric)

Besides the differences you mentioned, everything is pretty much exactly the same.
