Question:

Is polcor ('political correctness') an anathema to freedom?

Polcor goes back all the way to the warped 'sociology' taught in some avant garde American universities in the 19th/20th centuries.

At that time its proponents were called for what they were, nutters. Unfortunately, these nutters eventually got hold of the keys to the asylum.

But it was not until the time of the Clinton government that they were given free reign, Clinton deliberately recruited these nutters and gave them key positions in the administration.

  1. no. sometimes it goes to far though, for example, brixton prison changed all their toilets to face away from mecca to not offend the muslims.

doodlebug > by the same token, a woman may theoretically be jailed for offending a man in the uk. those guidelines are not gender specific.

  2. Political Correctness is non-partisan.  Yes, it's a misguided attempt to never offend or exclude anyone, even if their ideas are fundamentally offensive and exclusive, like the fundamentalist Muslims, for example.  A basic part of their belief system is that I am evil, because I am not Muslim, not to mention a free woman who wears scant clothing in the summer and has s*x with whomever I please, but PC folks will fall all over themselves to not offend them, even as they murder people, such as in Amsterdam.  But I've gone off on a tangent.  Yeah, PC is stupid and worthless.

  3. Polcor can be a form of color-blindness, as a way of blinding yourself to life's harsh realities.

I do hope to become an able-bodied,white,straight male someday, now I have to just work on becoming a normal person somewhat. I'd have enough problems even if I were a straight,white,non-Jew,normal male to begin with. I don't need anymore hassles. TNX!

  4. I don't think Clinton should take all the blame, that bloke Blair did his bit.

  5. No. It's a way of asking people to show some consideration, and acknowledging that the world isn't made up of straight white able-bodied men.

  6. Absolutely. The people who support political correctness the most are enemies of freedom that anyone who has read Orwell will recognise. And notice how the feminist movement doesn't stop at PC; they are now keen to jail men for insulting women too. Sounds far fetched? I wish it were...

Offending women can get you jailed in the UK and India

    UK (p.34) http://www.cps.gov.uk/publications/docs/...

    India: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/wo...

I guess this is a victory for equality and women's liberation, right?

  7. Please expand on this "warped 'sociology".

No name, huh.  No school of thought, huh.

You have provided no evidence, no information of any kind in fact: no context given.  Add to that the fact that the question is very poorly worded.  Result?   The question is nonsensical.

  8. Of course not.

Neither are sweeping and unsubstantiated statements, so you can still ask more questions!

    Cheers :-)

  9. Polcor is truly an anathema.

It's a thing made by and supported by pseudo-intellectual barbarians.

  10. Political correctness in incorrect. This is the road to h**l.
