Question:

Is polygamy (both polygyny and polyandry) legal in Japan?

I'm Japanese but I haven't been living in Japan... I'm embarrassed to ask my family because they'll think that I want to be involved in polygamy lol... is it legal in Japan?

    And it's not legal in many western countries either.

  3. You can only be legally married to one person at once in Japan. However-if you do something strange for the sake of your religion in Japan, the authorities are unlikely to step in unless you start putting Sarin on the subway or something like that.
