Is possible to bring a healthy lovebird from Venezuela to New Zealand? What are the requirements?

I want to take my pet with me to New Zealand. Is a kind and healthy bird and it has never been sick. We don´t have bird flu in Venezuela.

  1. New Zealand has very strict quarantine requirements. You should contact Biosecurity NZ for an answer.

  2. Your pet would go in quarantine & it can cost alot of money.  I know an American who brought her cats down here & they had to be quarantined for a few months & it cost her $4500.
