Is possible would be unborn deaf?

I'm deaf women and I'm only 20 week now. Actually, My mom said feel that my baby is going to be deaf for sure. I said why is that because my mom said that of genes family because my grandfather is Hard of Hearing plus me natural born that I was deaf also my cousin is deaf also that is Only 3 deaf family. My parent is hearing. Also, My ex boyfriend are deaf very much full but His family are hearing. His great grandfather is deaf also my ex bf 's son is deaf too that his only 3 deaf family.Now I'm pregnancy by him it would possible have unborn is deaf? I'm not the panic something but my mom keep said baby is deaf for sure but I don't know for sure because it is god for my baby until baby born then will take hearing test in hospital.

I want y'all give me some advice. I'm not worry about it I'm have a lot faith and calm as well.

When I was a p*****n I volunteered at the school for the deaf in my neighborhood. There were a couple there who were both deaf (they were caretakers of the grounds I believe) and they had three children, all of them hearing.

However, there is always the chance. Not a certainly, but a chance. If you have concerns I would suggest having your OB send you to a genetic counselor to gauge the likelyhood and to maybe refer you to a place where you can get some inro to prep you on caring for a deaf child. I know that being deaf yourself that you would know quite a lot, but there might be other resources to help you that you don't yet know about.

there is a higher chance your baby may be born deaf as the gene is in your family but its definitly not a certainty...if the father has no deafness in his family then the odds are good for you...

try not to listen to people that are neagative, think positive,...

It depends. Your baby could have no hearing defects! There sure are a lot of deaf people though in the family so if it doesn't get to him/her when their young, they may be a hard of hearing adult. Just pray!
