Is Poverty the main cause of people not exploring their future?

If that's the question I would say only part of the reason.  How can you explore a future when you have so many worries today... If you are worried about you lights being turned off or where dinner is coming from then its kind of hard to focus on one day becoming a scientist or a lawyer or seeing place like Tokyo.  But you have some very strong willed people who rise up out of poverty and make a way out of no way. So I think poverty may be part of the reason.
