Is powdered coffee creamer bad for you?

Question

My husband uses a bunch of creamer in his coffee each day and I always tell him that he's using way too much. Does anyone know the health risks of consuming large amounts of powdered creamer?

My friends doctor told him that it was really bad for your kidneys.  I don't understand since the ingredients are no different from anything else we consume on a daily basis.???  His doctor told him to stop using powdered creamer.
