Is prepaying for fuel oil worth it this year?

In our area if prices drop the oil company takes the 1st 150.00 of the drop

Depends on what you think will happen to oil prices. If you think they will rise again soon then prepay, otherwise no. I like the idea and would do it myself regardless(no one knows what oil will cost short term) just to have some stability in my budget. I live in South Fla and our home energy costs are mostly summer air conditioning.
