Is president Bush's likeness copyrighted?

Im making funny prints for mug, tees and such. I HAVE to know before i go any further with this.

I don't believe it's possible to copyright a face.  I do believe that any given picture/drawing/representation of a face could be copyrighted - so as long as you snap an original picture of the president or draw your own representation, you should be fine.  If you use something someone else has created, it might be copyrighted.  

This is just my best guess, could be wrong.
