  1. Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, and Harold II was rumoured to be ginger.

  2. most of the Tudors were described as red-heads.  Henry II may have been; and I think I read somewhere that many of the Plantagenets (like Henry 2) were blond or redheads.

  3. queen elizabeeth I was a redhead.

  4. Henry VIII was ginger  !!!!!!!

  5. Henry VIII and Elizabeth I were gingers.

  6. He isn't the direct heir to the throne. Prince Charles and Prince William are. And the William's eldest son will be. Or daughter if he does not have a son.

  7. most of the Tudors were red headed and many stewarts.

If the bloodline was unbroken one could argue that he was the most celtic blooded of the lot and the true bloodline. The German Saxecoburg and Hanovarian lines had blonds but no redheads.

But since none of the rest of the present family are red headed and the bloodline is not unbroken one has to question if he is the son of Charlie?

  8. The first heir to the throne is actually his father, The Prince Charles, Prince of Wales. Both Prince William and Prince Harry of Wales are second and third in line of succession to the British throne, respectively. When Prince Charles becomes King, Prince William of Wales will be his heir and first in line to the crown. Prince Harry is only a spear for now.

Note: As for ginger coloured hair monarchs, both King Henry VIII of England and Elizabeth I of England were famous for their ginger coloured hair and fierce temper.

  9. William's first.

But anyway, there was Henry VIIII, Elizabeth I, Henry V - probably a few others along the line too - why?

  10. Harry isn't the prince...it's Snape. Haven't you read the 6th book?!!!

  11. No. But is he of royal desent? He looks alot like James Hewitt and not at all like Charles.

  12. wonder who his real dad is ????????????????

  13. i would doubt but don't know

  14. Coures not...The Tudors were red heads.

Why does the color of his hair make everyone so hot under the collar?

Besides, he's hardly an heir...he's third in line, and not even remotely likely to ever inherit.

  15. henry 8th was ginger

  16. Neither of them! William of Normandy's son - also called William, later William II -  was known as 'Rufus' for his bright ginger hair. He took the throne in 1087.

  17. Obviously, not.

    ---Boadicea

    ---William the Conqueror

    ---Richard the Lionhearted

    ---Henry II

    ---Henry VII

---Henry VIII  (not to mention Anne Boleyn)

    ---Elizabeth I

---Mary Queen of Scots (mum of James I, or in Scotland James VI)

    ---Queen Victoria

Hair color is a polygenic trait, governed by multiple genes.  Moreover, it is  also as an incompletely dominant trait, meaning it sometimes skips several generations.   Harry's Aunt Sarah has red hair (as do many Spencers, including a distant relative, Winston Spencer Churchill), but then so did Queen Victoria.

  18. William Rufus, the 2nd Norman king of England was a redhead

  19. get your facts right. harry is NOT heir to the throne

  20. He won't be the first ginger on the throne; Henry viii and Elizabeth 1.

  21. Why should it matter?  God get a life.  And no he isn't.
