Before you say golfers are halfletes and don't have to run, jump, or react think about this...

.Golfers don't have some of their players in jail every week.

.Golfers don't kick dirt on, or throw bottles at, other people or go up into the stands and beat up spectators.

.Professional golfers are paid in direct proportion to how well they play.

.Golfers don't hold out for more money, or demand new contracts because of another player's deal.

.The PGA raises more money for charity in 1 year than the NFL does in 2.

.In golf, you cannot fail 70% of the time and make $9 million a season, like the best baseball hitters (300 batting average) do.

.Golf doesn't change its rules to attract fans.

.Golfers have to adapt to an entirely new playing area each week and golfers keep their clothes on while they are being interviewed.

.You do not see golfers spitting tobacco and tugging at their crotch in between every swing.

.Tiger hits a golf ball over twice as far as Barry Bonds.

  1. You are not painting  an unbiased picture. You have said all the negative things of other sports  but not of golf. From the standpoint of durability  and aging, golf can be played and is played far longer into a person's life than any other sport. It  gives the professional golfer the venue to continue well past the age of 50 and still be a credit to the sport. Unfortunately there are several who still play for a paycheck with the " no cut " policy who should have waved " good Bye" long ago.
