Is proscout a scam?

Im going to go to proscout on the 22 or 23 of july and i want to know if its a scam.. 50% of people say it is and 50% of poeple say its not..who should i believe?..and is it embarrasing to go their? what do you do, do they question you? what do most people my age 14-16 wear there? I think a lot of times people over-use the word "scam".  Scam implies that you pay money to something/someone and get nothing or next to nothing in return.

I'd imagine if half the people you asked say its legit then its probably not an actual 'scam'.

Now, next question... is it worth it?

That's where it becomes tricky.  Half of the people you talked to, seem to think that it is indeed worth it.

The other half who labeled it a scam, really mean that its 'not worth the money'

If you already have an appt lined up, then it doesn't hurt to go in and meet with someone.

Wear something nice, keep a positive attitude, etc.

Do not give them money upfront though.

If they bill themselves as a "talent agency" then the only way they should collect money from you is as a percentage of what you earn.

The only time you would pay them is if you were taking some kind of classes. In which case, that reverts back to "is it worth it?"

Trust your instincts! And listen to your parents too to see what they have to say...

well it just depends...you can go there and get a lot of call backs...or go there and get like no call backs. I made the audition, but I never went. It is easier just sending in a resume to a talent agency.

I went there. It was good but I only got 2 call backs not the best but better then nothing. On the first day when you go there there will be a all day thing. Kind of like a class. They will be showing you what and who to do things like the CATWALK (if in modelling) the SLATE (both acting and modelling ). they will help try to bring out the real you to life and show you how you will be showing your photos to the agents. it really fun but only if you want it to be so just be your self.  have fun and good luck  hope you get more call backs then i did.
