Is provigil an ADD medication?

No.  It is supposed to keep you awake.  It is often used by pilots on long, intercontinental flights.  I got it prescribed because I was always exhausted and sleepy during the day (I have a sleeping disorder that prevents me from getting restful sleep).  I have not heard it used for ADD.

Last I remember Provigil was used by adults who had a sleeping disorder.

ADD, has other prescriptions of medication, but provigil doesn't seem to be one of them.

No. As noted above by Jamal, it is used to treat sleeping disorders in which people are very sleepy during the day due to poor quality sleep at night.

I don't remeber seeing that medication in any of my research on the subject.  (and i've done quite a bit)
