  1. Flying is still the safest form of travel and they generally make the news quickly because they are usually catastrophic. However, I would still fly.

Our thoughts should now be with the families and friends of those killed at Madrid Airport. Very sad.

  2. You take a risk crossing the road. It's terrible for the families but accidents do happen & if you worry about it all the time I'm sure it's gonna make you unhappy.

  3. Any form of transport can be dangerous, but flying is one of the safest.  There is far more chance of getting injured or killed on the roads (not on public transport) than there is in an aeroplane.  I feel extremely sorry for all those involved in today's accident but it will not put me off travelling by public transport.

  4. These things do happen but you get more deaths on the road than you do with aircraft.

  5. like people have said, flying is the safest form of transport. public transport isn't getting less safe, just that there's been accidents in a shorter space of time. traffic accidents happen everyday but we rarely hear about them because of this reason. air accidents unfortunately usually involve lots of people, making it seem so much worse.
