Some people believe it helps, but I have my doubts about it.  Probably the most useful and effective things you can do are to apply hot compresses to pustules and cysts and never to pick or squeeze pimples. my facialist gave me this recipe-

a handful of oatmeal

a few chopped up almonds

just the liquid from the top of the yogurt

throw it into the food processor with a little warm water if needed.
