Is putting video's of yourself on youtube dangerous?

Cuz i know there is crazy people

on the web watching video's

of people,and that scares me

so i just want to know if its

dangerous or not?

(but personally i wouldn't recommend anyone

to put video's of themselves on any website)

I would never put anything personal about me on any web sight, especially a video.  As you said yourself, there are a lot of weirdos out there, so why take the risk?

not unless you put any personal info in the video, i know a ton of people who do it and nothing ever happens to them

It's usually not safe. That's why I made videos a doll named donut who gets beat up or beats up other people!

just don't put any of your personal information out there. but i wouldn't do it if your still very young. i would consider 15-16 to be the age that you should be allowed to put videos on youtube. but there's always that risk, heck you could be killed in a car crash tomorrow, i would just do it, you only live once

You should be alright, as long as you don't give out your address, phone number, full name etc.  Just your face shouldn't be a problem.

I've given out my home phone number in internet forums several times, with hilarious results on one occasion, and no result whatsoever on any of the others.

If you're a young female, and you post videos that show your face, then you may get morons telling you they masturbated while watching your video.  The best way to deal with that is to go, "whatever, dickhead" and forget about it.

Sometimes you might get a psycho saying stupid s**t like "I know where you live".  The best way to deal with that is to go, "whatever, dickhead" and forget about it.

If they prove they know where you live by telling you where you live, then you should call the police without hesitation.  Same goes for the ones that get really really nasty, but they are quite rare.  Very few will be a genuine threat to you.

Thing is, the majority of the crazies are sad, useless wankers who are a very long way away from you.  Take some basic safety precautions, and you should be grand.
