  1. Absolutely!  I got rid of my Teflon non-stick pans when the news came out regarding the toxic chemicals that they contain.  I'd been searching for an alternative since some things are too difficult to clean when using stainless cookware.  Anyway, I heard about the Green Pan brand and did a bunch of research on them to find out if they are safer than Teflon.  All articles I found determined that the ceramic-based coating is definitely safe and doesn't leach chemicals into your food or into the air.  I bought a small set of Green Pans and I love them.  They are, indeed, non-stick and they're a pleasure to use.

There's also a new brand called Scanpan (it's made in Denmark) and it's a similar ceramic non-stick technology.  It's available in the US at Sur La Table culinary stores (www.surlatable.com)

Anyway, I've used both the Green Pans and the Scanpans and I'm loving them both!

    Happy cooking!!
