Is "Ian" from the Yes Man, actually Dave Gorman?

In the book the "Yes Man" by Danny Wallace, his friend Wag is in the band The Infadels, but who is his mate "Ian"? I have heard rumours that he is Dave Gorman, but I was wondering if this is true.
