DK makes good complete bikes.  If you want something that will last, you should expect to pay at least $300.  Also, what is his age.  If he's not done growing he may need a smaller bike, but I wouldn't spend a lot of money on something he will grow out of in a year.  Don't spend the big bucks until you know it will be the last bike he needs for a long time.

no, ironhorse bikes are GARBAGE. go to a real bike shop, not sportcheck, they will be able to get you a bike that will last and will be high performing.
