Question:

Is "Legal Cover" worth it for a bike insurance policy?

At least 2 companies offer it for free but my insurance company always try and sell it as an extra for £27. Is there any difference between the fee companies and the ones I've paid for. It's my understanding that the legal cover companies earn commission separately from your claim/ Please help.

  1. Absolutely. If you don't have legal cover, your insurance company will have no responsibility to collect money from a third party to cover repairs to your car - I had a 'not my fault' claim years ago with no legal cover, and my insurer paid out the other chap, but basically told me that if I wanted money for my car, I'd have to pursue it with the other insurance company myself.

    It's a complete con, but a necessity.
