Is "Mamma Mia" a guy-bashing movie?

I heard a guy say he had to turn in his "Man Card" after watching it.

I'm not sure but this may be a reference to the tv show scrubs. a mian charater was given "man cards" buy his reluctant and often mean mentor because he became an attending and they were taken away if he did something un manly.

Mamma Mia is a "chick flick" and seeing it would definitely be something that would result in the loss of a man card.

this may or may  not be what the person was referring to but it is possible
