Is "Michael Dolsey Designs" a good board shaper/company?

I'm thinking of buying a used/never rode one from a guy in RI for $430. I'm just above a beginner's skill, is this worth it?

I just bought one a few weeks ago (6'0 fish) and its a  fun board but dings up kind of easily. If you take good care of it, it will last a long time. I bought my board  used for $200.
