I don't believe the job should ALWAYS go to the woman even if the man is more qualified.

  1. yes of course. and then feminists get blamed for it, lol.

  2. There are some cases where women can't do what men do because of the physical demands. I think it is being unrealistic to claim women can do these jobs. Examples: fire fighting and infantry in the military.

  3. Once all of the good questions have been deleted, and the people that can think have had their accounts suspended.

This is the kind of back slapping that you are left with...........

Not even worth 10 seconds of thinking time of any ones time

  4. Could you explain benevolent sexism.  I don't follow all the latest "feminist" news.  I just learn things here.  Thanks!

  5. That's why you should always think before you ask!

  6. Alright! enough is enough! Why are you forever blaming men for your shortcomings? your inability to achieve? The law now bends itself backwards and inside out to accommodate the female of the species. They have achieved nothing by denying the importance of motherhood. Destroyed the institution of marriage. Wrecked young lives everywhere by denying that nurturing is important for children. Politicised creches and emasculated their "partners". Well done girls. Carry on like this and it will soon be over for all of us.

  7. LOL!  You feminists certainly have an interesting way of using words. Its sexist to not let a woman get blown to bits in the same way that its equality to always give the job to a woman even if a man is equally qualified http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/pol...

  8. This is a typical angry-feminist question.

Whatever men do, feminists claim that men are sexist. It is no wonder that men are starting to organize against women.

    Feminism is to blame.

  9. I agree.  Let the feminists open their own doors, own jars, change their own tires, move their own furniture, and pay for their own food.  Ladies don't mind if we do it for them.

  10. Yes, it's a way to infantalize women.

  11. you make me tired, i'm sorry to say

  12. The point is that it should NEVER go to anyone who is less qualified. That is not condescending.

  13. isn't that what you evil femenists wanted? to use discrimination against men? you always wanted for men to have less jobs so women can have more,so I don't understand what's the problem.

  14. it's like a back-handed compliment. what you hear doesn't sound so bad at first, but when you evaluate the content and what is really being said you really see how dangerous it is.

  15. Absolutely.

We've all had to deal with it in its most famous form: Chivalry.

Sure it's nice for someone to open a door for you, but before you say "thank you" really stop to think about it: WHY are they doing it? Is it a belief that they're a big strong man who needs to help you, the feeble weak woman?

    Thank you, I guess.

Or it could be what I recently heard a male friend say, "I open doors for women because I like to check out their a$$ and then hear them say "thank you" for it"

    Ugh, no thanks.

  16. That's how I see it. Whenever you polarize behaviour between two groups (men do x, therefore women DON'T do x), it's sexism.

  17. I'll dare an answer.. I think often times we try to add context that was never meant to be there.  I hope to create a world for myself where opening a car door for my woman simply means I'm being polite. But that act will be construed 100 different ways by 100 different people.  Can "benevolent" sexism produce positive results? absolutely.  Can "benevolent" sexism be just as damaging just because it is sexism.. sure.  In the end, any behavior can be construed every way possible, and I think it is up to the individual who experienced benevolent sexism, from both sides, to decide whether their given experience was condescending towards the woman, or whether it was a justified sacrifice for the whole.

  18. Call me ignorant, but whats "benevolent" sexism?

Ok, i just looked it up,it means sexism in a "nice" way.

Sexism is still sexism, no matter how nicely its put, and i do think men that are sexist in this way underestimate women, or they simply are traditional, and they like the idea of women being traditional because that's what their attracted to.
