  1. French is a precise language so if you check any dictionary the word "d'accord" will mean all of the above answers (i.e. in agreement, o.k., etc...) so it's not consider as slang.

The only other way, they can say the same  is that they commonly shorten the word by saying "dak" instead of "d'accord".  Like for another example, the word "adolescent" which mean teenager,  they will say instead just "ado" again shortening the word in question.  Hope it help you!

  2. je suis d'accord.

it means im in agreement with you.

    or i agree.

    or its okay.

    and its the proper form.

i'm not sure of the slang term.

    (: hope this helps.

  3. It is not slang. It means O.K.

  4. I learn French at school and we were taught that d'accord is ok...? I am pretty sure its not slang, and not sure what coloqial language is.

  5. That's right - "d'accord" means either "okay" or "I agree".

And not, it is not a slang term at all!

"I understand" would be "je comprends" and "that's cool" would either be "c'est bon" or "ça va" - hard to find the exact or precise French translation for that particular expression actually.

    Hope this helps a bit!

  6. It's not slang. It's like saying OK. It's actually more polite than slang. To people you know, we would say OK.

  7. It means okay, and it isn't slang, it's an accepted non-slang word in the French dictionary.
