Is "equality for the sexes" a Trojan Horse that feminists use to fool people into supporting their movement?

Many feminists keep on saying that they are about "equality for men and women", but their action shows otherwise. So is "equality" simply a Trojan Horse that feminists use to fool people into supporting their movement?

  1. The words "Trojan" and "feminist" never belong in the same sentence.

  2. "Equality of the sexes" is a trojan horse used by feminists to support their "equality for the sexes" movement.

Seriously, that's all we want. There's no conspiracy.

  3. yes, they dont want equality really,,,they want men to take out the trash, do the diy and kill spiders still

  4. Certainly not.

  5. Haven't we had enough of this tired old subject.  It really has run it's course and is turning back on itself.

Women and men complement each other, we are not better or worse, we're simply different.  Let's just try to understand each other.

    Vive la difference!!!

  6. Yes. Pretty much. They all sound great when they "talk" about equality and such but their actions speak a different tune.

  7. I believe it is.

  8. No, its not.  What people seem to get so angry about is that feminists demand treatment for women that is equal to men, but it gets interpreted as them saying that they just want to bring women up without having them do the things that men do (i.e. take out the trash, diy work, and kill spiders, as someone mentioned here).  But these things are about sexism, not feminism.  Its sexist to say men should have to take out the trash, just as its sexist to say women should be doing the cooking.

The "Trojan Horse" only exists because people don't understand what feminism is about.  The person who believes that feminism should imply that women take out the trash is only creating the trojan horse for himself, because he's allowing the true aims of the movement to be interpreted as something negative.

Its not the movement that's deceiving him, but rather it's he who is allowing himself to be deceived by the movement.

  9. Heh heh. Wait until you see what we've got hiding in the Trojan Rabbit.

  10. The Trojan Horse was full of men so it's not a feminist icon.  Feminists "actions" show that they want equality, some fems are more radical than others in their beliefs.  But then the Trojans went to great lengths to get their point across too.

  11. Believe  it or not but there are feminists who actually want equality and nothing more.

Having said that though, there are other so-called "feminists" who don't know the meaning of the word.

Real feminists want equality, radical feminists want female supremacy.

Have you any sources to back up what your asking?

  12. No. Feminism is what extremists and opportunists use to cover up the fact that they don't give two craps about equality. Real feminists mean it.

  13. No I don't think so, I'd say they are up front with they're movement. They're not being sneaky about it at all.

  14. Of course it not about being equal, its about being better than men. Women would gain more respect from men if they learned a little humility and tact.  Who do you pay attention more to Mother Teresa or Rosie O'Donnell? Or rather which one sounds like nails on a chalk board?

  15. Yes, and to their credit, it works quite well.

Just look at the sheer number of thumbs downs people are getting.

  16. I don't think so.   I'm having a problem trying to figure out what "action" are you referring to.    Could you please explain.
