Question:

Is "feminism" just another brand name?

Like "Pepsi-Cola" and "McDonalds" and other commercial products, "feminism" is just a brand name.

But, unlike feminism, a commercial product has quality control procedures in place so when people purchase it they will know beforehand exactly what they will be getting.

That is not so with feminism because its proponents cross-talk each other all the time. So the feminism label becomes completely meaningless and pointless.

You can't subscribe to an ideology and then modify it to suit yourself, can you.

  1. Feminism isn't like Pepsi. It is more like republicanism, enviromentalism, or marxism.

  2. > You can't subscribe to an ideology and then modify

    > it to suit yourself, can you.

Women do this all the time - much more than men. Women will adopt any belief system, fashion, or language to get what they want. They just won't admit it.

All of feminism can be viewed as a few angry women trying to normal women to be honest in their grab for power.

  3. OOOHHHH YEEESSSS!!!!!!!

    At last!

Modern feminism  is just a cynical money making exercise from really smart people against not so smart people.

All these people do is to magnify natural prejudices the sexes have against each other and sell them things like books. I bet they make a lot of money from being  a sod!

  4. You can change the rules of an ideology to suit yourself and others involved; just get out a pad of paper and start jotting down ideas.  However, in order to change Pepsi-Cola it's going to take a bit more doing, such as a trip to the head office.

  5. Feminist has to do more with a cult than with a brand name.

As of corporation, they play them as a fiddle. Using them and abusing them so that people dont see the real enemies here.

  6. You can't subscribe to an ideology and then modify it to suit yourself, can you.

    Isn't that what religion does?

No - it's a personality label, not a product label.

  7. No, it's just another religion.

  8. Darkflower366, you forgot fascism.

Now, as far as subscribing to the ideology and then modifying it.  Well, you can, but only if you are self delusional enough to do so and still believe that what you believe is relevant to reality after doing so.

It's much like being a vegetarian, oh but you like steak and bacon so you change up your beliefs to excuse yourself for those two.
