Is "global warming causing regional cooling" as silly as we thought it was?

It would seem that global warming caused regional cooling 1000 years ago:

  1. Sure,it's all reactionary environmental principles.Local and regional cooling/warming also effects the climate. It's just not as pronounced nor readily observable as major disturbances. The consequences might never have a chance to be listed in the climate archives.I'm a believer in the Earth as having a self regulating environment which includes the (biosphere). Most proponents dispute it and most skeptics know little about it.

Yes we do have a influence but it's not CO2 that should be a major concern.I worry more over land based pollutants that will not readily broken down into friendly byproducts.

I hope your fortitude outlast your frustration.

  2. They're going to hang on to this AGW junk as long as they can.  Already they've put in draconian tax expansion on this "theory."  The idea is to fool the public long enough to get these excess taxes and control measures into place before everyone finds out it was all just a big scam.

It's funny that the same people who worry about "wire-tapping" terrorists, are fine with government control over their thermostats and car usage.  Shows how the real agenda is more about government control than about saving the planet.

  3. And yet somehow there was no great extinction 1000 years ago, and humanity didn't regress to the stone age.

    Amazing!

edit -  Coincidentally, I studied oceanography 20 years ago, and the mechanism of the gulf current was indeed understood 'way back then'. Another example of a lying Liberal press.

  5. The biggest problem I have with the Global Warming scare is the hypocrisy of the Messiah (Al Gore) who's making a fortune on the message.

The electrical energy intensity of Al Gore's home is more than  200 kWh per square foot per year; mine is 3 kWh. Global Warming is theoretically caused by power plants. When we stop putting demand on the country's electric infrastructure we might mitigate the purported causes of Global Warming. Somebody needs to tell Al Gore to get an energy audit for his home and take measures to reduce his electrical  consumption.
