Is "intense relief" an oxymoron?

  1. No because the word intense means something is overpowering. The word relief means lifting of something. So for it to be an oxymoron relief would have to mean a lessening of a type of pressure or the opposite of the word intense. An example of one would be 'Intensely weak'.
