Is "spinner" luggage really that much better?

I'm about to go on a cruise, and need new luggage. I want to know if buying luggage with the spinner wheels is vastly superior to the normal kind, and worth the extra money. Thanks for your help!!

Yes yes! I love the spinner luggage!  Used to be that they were much more expensive, but now I have noticed that they are really not that much more.   I would go for it especially if you travel often.

While the 2 wheeled kinds are definitely better than a no wheel version - a 4 wheeler (spinner) is much more comfortable to use than a 2 wheeler. Specially if your usage is on surfaces which are not very rough. A spinner takes the strain of your elbows and hands while you stroll the luggage.

If the floor/surface on which you are strolling is smooth (eg airports/duty free areas) even a small nudge can make your luggage move. For rough terrain like unpaved roads - you cannot 'spin' it around as easily - but you may still use it to drag behind like you normally do a 2 wheeler.
