  4. Sort of, th e movie is based on a killer named Ed Gein, he did wear human skin but didn't use a chainsaw.

    Check it out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Texas_C...

  5. It's very loosely based on the exploits of serial killer Ed Gein who was found to be making a female "suit" in his Wisconsin farmhouse.  This was also the inspiration for Norman Bates in "Psycho," and Jame Gumb in "Silence of the Lambs."

  6. yeah, I've heard it is.

  7. yes

    i live in texas

that d**n house is still there too

  8. it is loosely based on truth as others have said.Ed Gein is the true inspiration but he didn't wear the skin due to deformity. he wanted to be a woman thats why he wore the skin. The stuff with all the family is false too.

  9. The chainsaw is imaginary

  10. pardon my english coz i come from indonesia. hope u can understand.

every time there is a movie that says based on true story, i will check it at the ending part. if the hero or heroin survive then it means it based on true story coz in real life only the survivor can tell how was their whole experience. make sense?

  11. i've always heard Ed Gein was the inspiration for the movie.

  12. No..I'm pretty sure it's made up.

  13. very VERY loosely

  14. Hollywood takes a little fact and adds a lot of exaggeration until the story no longer resembles reality.. It is a publicity stunt!
