  1. well, no its not all right really. Just because you like something doesn't mean its good for you.

Cream is fat and fat is cholesterol. Cholesterol clogs your arteries and can cause arterial disease and heart problems.

If you eat it a lot and you eat it for a long period ie you are young when you start and continue to adulthood, its possible you are storing up health problems for the future.

I thought like you and last year I had a heart operation to place a stent in a main artery, they also discovered 4 more blocked arteries.

  2. Thickened creame is creame that has gelatine added to it to thicken it.

If you like it then add it. But always remember everything in moderation and at least it doesn't have as much fat as a Maccas or Hungry Jacks meal.

  3. just make sure that the cream is "light"

  4. Thats weird but if you like it then its fine

  5. I dread to think what your cholesterol levels are like!

I have it in soups - creme fraiche.

I also occassionally thicken sauces with it.

Some people I know have it in baked potatoes and use it for salad dressings.

  6. I don't understand the question, what do I think about what?  Your personal food choices?  Eat whatever you like!  I like to have sour cream on French Fries...

  7. Is this "thickened cream" a product that you buy, as in a container that says 'thickened cream" on the outside? If so, where do you live and what are the ingredients?

Or do you just leave the cream out and it gets thick?

I can imagine putting sour cream on all those things. But not whipped cream. It makes a difference what kind of cream you are talking about.

  8. you have weird tastes but thats fine.

whipped thickened cream with cake is yum or cheesecake and sometimes add it to a pasta sauce.
