Is radio recording legal or not ?

is it illegal to recored radio music and burn it on a cd for my use only.

Amazingly it is but its one of those cases of it is but no-minds it being done which sounds weird as if its illegal why make tape recorders that could record directly off the radio, its the same with tv, technically you werent allowed to record tv shows early on but no problem in buying a vcr and recording off tv so it is but no-one cares that u do, except when you get it for free like downloading it and stuff

Yes, illegal. But no recording company would mess with you. They go after people who facilitate mass stealing, like Napster, or people who make copies and sell them for profit.
