I don't know MP, I am sorry. I believe e is Muslim due to his 3/4 trousers. No real proof though!!!!

It might be a Moorish name, but I am not sure, what I do know is that the Spaniards started to re-acquire what is now Espana anyone not Catholic was forced to convert. (this mostly applied to Jews - from what I understand, Muslims were either murdered or forced to relocate to North Africa)

Why should it matter anyway? He is a sensational tennis player and that final against Federer is one of the best matches I've witnessed in my 20+ years watching the sport. (I haven't played much since high school)

Well no I dont think so. I mean he comes from Mallorca, and thats in Spain. Spain is a highly catholic country neither he or his family would be of a muslim decent, seen as his family originates from Spain. Also, the fact that he is Spanish and not many Spaniards are Muslim gives some indication. He is only very tanned not dark colour skinned, if you look at someone like his mother or sister, they both have a much fairer coloured skin.

I wouldnt say the 3/4 capri pants make him muslim, they are just his uncoventional tennis clothing trademark, along with his sleeveless shirts.

He could be muslim, but i think its almost 99.9% certainty that hes not.
