  1. Rain water is naturally acidic because of CO2 and other gasses that surrounds the drops as they're growing and falling. (Generally, a glass of drinking water will become more acidic if it is left exposed to air).

Rain acidity also gets a boost from pollutants (solid, liquid, or gas). These generally get scavenged from the atmosphere quickly.

So, if a single rain event lasts for several hours most of the pollutants would be washed out of the air at the beginning of the event, making the early rainfall slightly more acidic.

  2. Acid rain happens in areas with lots of air pollution, i.e. smog. It usually isn't acidic enough to be harmful though

  3. How stormy the weather is, has nothing to do with the acidity of rain. All rain is acidic. It's acidity is caused by pollution in the atmosphere and storms are not caused by pollution. Rain is usually more acidic in urban areas due to large amounts of pollution in the air.
