My friend is only 10 weeks into the pregnancy with twins. Her blood pressure is high and the babies' heart rates were high. They are having her collect her urine in a cup for 24 hours. Anyone know what they're looking for?

  1. For protein. Some women experience pre-eclampsia during pregnancy which is high blood pressure. Normal heart rate for infants is 120-160

  2. I'm not exactly for sure on this but i think they are looking for protein in the urine.. something to do with the high blood pressure..

  3. They are probably looking for elevated protein levels in the urine. With twins you are more at risk for something called preeclampsia. The symptoms are elevated blood pressure and protein in the urine. (I'm having twins and they check my urine at every doctors appointment!)
