Is raw apple cider vinegar bad for your teeth ?

I drink this every morning , and it's making my skin so much healthier. But I heard it was bad for my teeth , is this true ?

  1. As it is an acid, if it stays on the teeth too long, it could start breaking down the enamel. You should either brush your teeth after, or thoroughly rinse your mouth with clean water or mouthwash.


  2. Hmm I don't think its bad for your teeth if you drink it before brushing. I drink it as well and I have definitely noticed an improvement in my skin.

    It might have something to do with the acid in it but heaps of people use and and my teeth are still pretty healthy ^_^

  3. vinegar has a pH of 2, which makes it very acidic. yes, it is bad for you. the worst thing you can do is brush within half an hour of it contacting your teeth, because your teeth are under acid attack and the brushing + abrasive toothpaste is very bad. the best way to consume it would be 30 minutes after brushing, and without swishing (perhaps through a straw if possible).

    i'd suggest you try something that you feel benefits your skin, but that doesn't ruin another body part.
