I have better than perfect vision, and have no trouble reading any book on paper. I've recently tried to start reading e-books, and I find my eyes burn. Anything I can do to relieve this, besides print out all the books and articles I read?

  1. Get a better monitor or adjust the one you are using .

You can also adjust the size of the font or magnification of your PDF...if adjusted properly it is probably easier on your eyes

  2. Your eyes are burning because you're basically focusing your eyes and staring at a light bulb.

To HELP, you can turn down the brightness on your screen. But I would suggest going back to regular books.

  3. After this book, I would go back to paper books.  I've tried the e-book thing for an online college class and didn't like it much.  Rreading off of the screen does hurt your eyes after awhile.

  4. I also have good vision, but I try to not look into the screen for long hours, I usually take breaks in between if I am working on something and reading  a book on the internet can capture your attention long and you can forget not only to take breaks but also to WINK, and it can dry the eyes and may cause redness.

  5. Whether it is Bad or Good for eyes??? sometimes, there are situation, we were supposed to read e-books, since taking print out of all the e-books was cumbersome task in terms of cost.  But the Simple tips I follows is: Just adjust the "brightness" and "contrast" of your monitor while you read any e-books.  Even, I didn't have perfect vision. I am wearing power glass. Sometimes, there is no way, I was supposed to read some e-books online.  While that time, I simply adjust my monitor brightness as well as contrast to make me comfortable.  I has set my brightness as well as contrast to 45 in my samsung monitor.
