Is red bull harmful?

i usually drink 1 can of red bull before going for my athletics practice.Is there any harm in it? Because according to me,i am getting energy from it which i am using to build my muscles to raise my stamina and speed.Will my body become dependent on it if i use it regularly?Am i doing the right thing?

  1. Well sort of.

    Using an energy drink before an activity like yours is an appropriate time to use one. It will help you get going. However you need to drink water with it as well.

    Caffeine takes more water to process than the energy drink provides. So it takes extra water from your body which dehydrates you. This is the last thing you want to happen before exerting yourself like that. Drinking extra water will not only offset the dehydrating effects of caffeine but will help you as water is also a natural energizer itself.

    One can before a work out like that should not cause an addiction. The addiction is to the caffeine and that is normally for those that consume a large amount in a day. Their body becomes accustomed to it and they don't function well without it.

  3. they did a study this week that showed a single red bull increases your blood's thickness by 6

    that means too many can actually give you a stroke

    energy drinks are being banned in a few countries

  4. i drink energy drinks more than i **** i drink about 2 a day i dont think they are very harmful unless you drink like alot of em and run around alot my friend passed out he drank like a lot in like 5 minutes and he started being crazy and he like died (not really)

  5. I read a story where someone died after drinking a lot of red bull on a regular basis but that was because he had a health condition... otherwise he would of been all right.

  6. i doint think its harmful but it can become

    addictive as i drink about 6 cans a day

    but  1 or 2 should be okay  as long as don,t become dependent

    on it
