this is the link to the park's online application

http://www.splashdowndunes.com/employment/onlineapp.htm

In it, they ask you to check various certifications if you are certified which leads me to believe i could possibly work there without certification, or maybe they would provide training?

it doesn't say anywhere "do not apply for lifeguard position if you are not certified"

what do you guys think?

  1. For that application, most likely...because they said something about the Red cross and if you don't fill that part out it would make is seem like you haven't been taught enough about life-guarding and can mess up the chance in getting the job....

  2. For amusement parks for insurance they have their lifeguards get trained by a certain person or company. But they prefer that you're already trained and it makes the class easier. Just go on ahead and apply for it

  3. Yes, you will need to be certified by the Red Cross for both CPR and First Aid. The employer is just making sure you are certified  for both because you will need both to work there.
