Is regular liquid dish soap harmful to the environment?

If so, what do you recommend for day to day washing? I mean hand washing not dishwasher machine. Thanks!

  1. I believe so, try looking at "Planet" brand, they sell many cleaning products that are enviromentally friendly.

    If it WERE bad - greenies would have it pulled from the shelves..................

  3. Yes, it is.  There's lots of stuff in it that isn't good to get in to our water supply.  There are lots of options, though.  Method, Ecover, Seventh Generation, Meyer's are some.  You can get them at health food stores, some supermarkets, and Method is available at Target.  Happy dishwashing!

  4. original soap was made from fat. todays soaps have many chemicals. so the answer would be yes unless you have found an environmentally friendly soap

  5. hi i would'nt say so but maybe try to get the persil one.  that is inviornmental friendly
