  1. The only answer i have from watching the food network is the coconut oil is bad for you its like three times worse that vegetable oil. They use coconut oil to make popcorn in the movies theatre and they also use it for the artificial butter.

  2. You basically have 4 types of Coconut oil.

    1. Cold pressed extra virgin or virgin coconut oil. This the preferred oil to eat You can use it for cooking. This also has Omega 3.

    2. Refined oil This oil is produced by heating for maximum extraction. You are calling this as a natural oil in your query. Nutrition wise it is same as Virgin oil. However, virgin oil tastes better than refined oil.

    3. Hydrogenated Coconut oil. This is transfat and must be avoided

    4. Fractionated Cocunut oil.. This is all saturated fat. It is used for massages in India.

Its better than a tranfat, still , it should be avoided for eating as this is pure saturated fat.

  3. E V is not processed..so has more of the nutrients still in it.

I buy RAW Extra Virgin Coconut OIl(Butter) & the same in my Olive Oil.
