I plan to nail them together with galvanized bolts/screws, but in the long run will the pressure treated chemicals damage the untreated pine if its in direct contact? (it seems obviously no since treated lumber is just regular pine but with those chemicals...but you never know).

  1. The treated lumber will not harm the untreated at all.  It is done all the time.  Wood in direct contact with concrete needs to be treated, so it is common to use treated for the bottom and ends of basement walls and use untreated for the rest.

Your fasteners are a different story.  The new chemicals used in treated wood do not agree with steel and similar metals.  Make sure the fasteners you use are specifically for treated wood, not just exterior use.  These will either be stainless, ceramic coated, or a very thick galvanized coated.  The store that sells you the treated lumber should be able to fix you up.

  2. No it will not effect it at all
